Frank Lampard has confirmed that Mendy and Chilwell are fit but not sure if they are to make Chelsea starting XI against Tottenham in the Carabao Cup tomorrow.
Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has confirmed the fitness of Ben Chilwell and Edouard Mendy as they not joined the squad in training at Cobham ahead of Tottenham vs Chelsea Carabao Cup on Tuesday 29th of September
“Mendy and @BenChilwell are in the squad, they’re fit and we will see whether they start or not’. 💪”
Frank acknowledges that Leyton Orient’s disqualification in the last round was a little harsh on them but rescheduling games seems almost impossible this season and Tottenham’s bye seemed the best solution.
Lampard finishes by reiterating the need for the group to work, saying he’s confident the more we can work and play together, especially with the new signings, then the more we will improve. That’s it for now, there’ll be more online shortly.
Chelsea will travel to Tottenham Hotspur to commence their journey in the Carabao Cup after defeating Barnsley 6-0 with Kai Havertz hat-trick to earn next round ticket.
Ben Chiwell and Chelsea new signing Mendy will be available for Spurs game tomorrow as they are training hard in the Cobham
