A close-circuit Television footage(CCTV) footage showing popular Nollywood actor, Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha who is in police custody, allegedly molesting a 14-year-old girl has gone viral.
The Nation had reported how the 48-year-old actor was arrested by the Lagos state police command for alleged $£xual molestation and not rape.
Since the news came to the fore, several Yoruba entertainers have expressed divergent views on the matter.
Comedienne Damilola Adekoya, popularly known as Princess, had earlier shared details of all that transpired in the CCTV footage that captured when her colleague, Baba Ijesha allegedly molested her foster daughter.
In the now-viral video obtained by The Nation, Baba Ijesha kissed and caressed sensitive parts of the body of the 14-year-old girl.
The minor was dressed in a sleeveless gown as she sat on a long-arm chair while Baba Ijesha wore a white shirt, a pair of blue jeans and a hat.
He was seen licking the fingers on the left hand of the victim.
With an attempt to $£xually arouse the minor, he caressed the her legs and thighs with his left hand.
In another video obtained by The Nation, the comic actor allegedly caught pants down after the incident, was sitting on the floor and pleading for forgiveness while being questioned by Princess and other people.
In the two-minute video, Baba Ijesha could be seen and repeatedly heard echoing, “Please forgive me, I won’t do it again.”
He said: ‘‘Please forgive me, I know I have hurt you but please forgive me. I know I have done something wrong, please forgive me because of God, I’m begging you. You will never be put to shame.
“I don’t know what came over me, if you must take me away, please let me kill myself, please, … Have mercy on me, I said I’m sorry.”
When asked why he $€xually harassed the minor for seven years, Baba Ijesha repeatedly said: “I’m very sorry.”
