Nigerian Footballer, Victor Osimhen, has apologise to the Punch newspaper after he rain curse on the media house for published fake content about him.
The footballer just joined the Italian club, Napoli, on Five years contract at €81million Naira transfer fee with order benefits.
The Punch reported that the 21 years old said that he wants to live his life like South American Footballer, Maradona, at his new club.
The report says Osimhen has taken Maradona as a role model and ready to emulate him.
A few hours after the report was posted on Twitter, the footballer debunked the report saying that he never granted any interview with The Punch newspaper.
“I never said such a thing, y’all copy paste journalist just like to fabricate lies, since the passing of my late father I haven’t grant any interview whatsoever, stop this nonsense else na thunder go fire una.” Victor Osimhen said on twitter.
The footballer later apologized to The Punch after his supporters and fans called his attention to the fact that his words are too harsh.
“As much as I dislike being misquoted or taken out of context by the media, I want to apologize to @MobilePunch and other journalists that felt offended for the type of language I used in my earlier post, sorry about it, make una no vex I will still be una boy…peace❤️” Osimhen later posted on Twitter.
