Thomas Tuchel’s men will face a struggling West Ham United in a crucial league match, as he launch an offensive attack to face them.
Chelsea will need a much better performance against the Hammers to take all three points on Saturday, and given the Blues’ current injury crisis, this game could jeopardize their title hopes.
The Hammers have been inconsistent in recent weeks, and I’m sure they’ll be looking to get back on track when they host Chelsea. Meanwhile, here is my preferred Chelsea lineup for Saturday’s game against West Ham.
Note: I am assuming that N’Golo Kante, Reece James, Mateo Kovacic, Trevoh Chalobah, and Ben Chilwell are all out injured.
On Wednesday night, I believe we lacked a genuine threat from our wing backs, particularly from Azpilicueta’s side.
Hudson-Odoi, in my opinion, should replace him at the wing back on the right, with Alonso likely keeping his spot.
Thiago Silva, Rudiger, and Christensen are my preferred Central Defense trio.
Jorginho was not fully fit for Wednesday’s game, but I’m hopeful he’ll be ready for Saturday’s game. In midfield, he should work with Ruben Loftus-Cheek.
Ziyech and Mason Mount were pivotal in Chelsea’s win over Watford on Wednesday, and they must start.
Romelu Lukaku should lead the Chelsea team in front. He has yet to make the starting lineup since his return from injury, but given the importance of this game, I believe it is time for him to do so.
