Chelsea’s coach Thomas Tuchel has confirmed the players who will be missing in action this weekend when Chelsea travel to Etihad to face league leaders Manchester City.
While speaking at a press conference ahead of the game tomorrow, Tuchel gave updates on the team and confirmed that Trevoh Chalobah, Reece James, Ben Chilwell and Andreas Christensen will not take part in the top the table encounter.
Andreas Christensen recently tested positive for COVID-19 and would be isolated for the time being. Ben Chilwell is out for the season, while Reece James and Chalobah are down with thigh and hamstring injuries respectively.
Chelsea will be looking for revenge against a City side who might be without Pep Guardiola on the sidelines after his COVID-19 test returned positive for a second time. Man City had beaten Chelsea 1-0 at Stamford Bridge earlier in the season.
The Blues are currently on an eleven match unbeaten run and will be hoping to close the 10 points gap between them and Manchester City.
