Our squad is stronger than that those who lost 6-1 to Nigeria back in 2012 in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier, as they looking forward to cause an upset against the three-time AFCON winners on Friday (today).

Both sides clash in an opening Group C of the African qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos, today.

“Forget the past records and look at the current performance of our opponents. They are good, but Liberia can put up a stronger challenge against Nigeria. I’m not looking back to 2012, that’s history and we have learned from it.

“I am not the kind of person that looks back, I have to look forward to the positives, we haven’t come here to sit back and defend. We have come here to be positive, bold and attack-minded.”

Liberia are without a win against Nigeria since their 2-1 win in a World Cup qualifier in Monrovia in 2000.
