Popular musician Joel loses father to Fulani herdsmen

Joel Amadi popularly known as Joel has announced the death of his father via his Twitter handle on the 25th July, 2020. His father was killed by the Fulani herdsmen in Kaduna State; an attack that is considered inhumane.

The terrifying acts of the herdsmen is undeniably at its peak especially in the Northern part of the country. It is quite unfortunate that the father of the popular hip-pop artiste would also be victimized.

With this sort of malicious act, this is the right time for the government to put an end to this “madness”. In Nigeria today, it is so sad that this set of people have such free will to take human lives without any sort of intervention from the government.

Joel’s father isn’t the first casualty but his popularity has driven great awareness. What has happened now should in some way stimulate humanity to stand against injustice. Our action today will protect the lives of potential targets.

The herdsmen are seemingly uncontrollable but it’s high time we started making plans as humans. If the government isn’t willing to take charge of the situation we need to be right on our feet; we are the actual potential victims. We need to act, the government needs to intervene, and it has to be now.
