Kylian Mbappe is delighted to join Chelsea

France and Paris Saint-Germain star, Kylian Mbappe is delighted to join Chelsea after the 22-year-old reportedly want to leave PSG after contract expired.

“Kylian Mbappe will NOT be extending his PSG contract, he will honour the rest of his deal and look to leave the club on a free transfer next summer according to a report from L’Equipe.”

Mbappe has been adamant in the past about respecting PSG, “Everyone knows I have a deep connection to the club. I want to thank them because when I come here I am no one. They gave me more confidence than I deserved. I have always been grateful to the officers and the club. PSG know my feelings and know I will not do anything to damage the club,” Mbappe was quoted as saying at the end of previous domestic campaign.

Mbappe who missed penalty against Switzerland in the Euro 2020 round of 16 lost 4-5 after 3-3 extra time draw.

According to Football.London, Rewind the clock and hour and all appeared well for Les Bleus. They led 3-1 after a Karim Benzema double and a wonderful goal from Paul Pogba. But two Swiss goals in the final ten minutes rocked France and they bowed out of the competition after Kylian Mbappe missed the crucial fifth penalty in the shootout.

“It really hurts,” Didier Deschamps said after the game. “There’s a lot of sadness and, well, there were many things that we did really well in this match, but not everything and if we think too much about this match it won’t help too much.

“This Euro was really difficult, it’s not an excuse, and now there’s the last European champion and the last world champion who have to go home, it hurts but we have to accept it.”

Speaking to Sport Bild after Chelsea’s Champions League win, Mbappe said: “After the Euros, I’m going to call him because I have a really good relationship with him.”

“He’s fantastic tactically. He knows exactly how opponents will behave and can predict matches very accurately.

“And it must also be taken into account – he is still a very young coach. He can become one of the best coaches of the future.

“He proved it with his victory in the Champions League.”
