Chelsea need just one point from their final day fixture against Wolverhampton Wanderers to secure a Champions League place.
Chelsea will be hoping to secure the one point they need to bag themselves a top-four finish this season when they face Europa League hopefuls Wolverhampton Wanderers on the final day of the Premier League campaign at Stamford Bridge this afternoon.
After Manchester United were held to a 1-1 draw by West Ham United in Wednesday evening’s early kick-off, Chelsea, who face Arsenal in next weekend’s FA Cup Final at Wembley, had the chance to secure a top-four berth with a draw away at newly-crowned champions Liverpool.
Despite scoring three times at Anfield, it was not enough for Frank Lampard’s side to secure the solitary point they needed, as Liverpool scored five times in a rampant display.
But Chelsea’s destiny remains in their own hands, as they know if they avoid defeat at home to Wolves this afternoon then they have secured a top-four spot, regardless of the outcome between the crunch clash between Leicester City and Manchester United at the King Power Stadium.
Full Chelsea squad available to face Wolves: Kepa Arrizabalaga, Willy Caballero; Cesar Azpilicueta, Reece James, Antonio Rudiger, Andreas Christensen, Kurt Zouma, Marcos Alonso, Emerson Palmieri; N’Golo Kante, Jorginho, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Ross Barkley, Mateo Kovacic, Mason Mount; Willian, Pedro, Christian Pulisic, Callum Hudson-Odoi; Tammy Abraham, Olivier Giroud, Michy Batshuayi and Faustino Anjorin.
