Frank Lampard releases Chelsea's 21-man squad for Champions League

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard have his says after London derby Carabao Cup game defeat by Tottenham Hotspur on Tuesday night during post-match press conference.

Lampard acknowledge that it was a disappointing night for Mason Mount after give away penalty in the Carabao Cup against Spur, Chelsea opened scoring from Werner strike in half time before it was level by Lamela in 84 minutes which saw the game straight to extra-time on penalty, the game ended on 5-4 penalties shoot out after 1-1 draw in a regulation time.

Lampard says it is a disappointing night for us and Mason Mount, but the midfielder will have plenty more nights when he is positive for club and country. The boss says it is a collective effort when the game reaches penalties.

Chelsea boss has commends the effort of their new signing Mendy who make his debut for the club last night against Tottenham in the Carabao Cup.

Lampard says he is very pleased with Mendy’s debut and in particular one save he made in the first half. Even the cross he didn’t claim cleanly showed the intent the keeper has to dominate his box, Lampard adds.
