Chelsea sporting director Marina Granovskaia confirm the signature of Bayer Leverkusen star Kai Havertz on twitter, as the best options for the Blues to strengthen their squad ahead of next season.
According to reports, Chelsea are on the verge of announcing the massive signing of Kai Havertz from Bayern Leverkusen as the Blues have been in constant talks with the club and the player’s representatives.
Chelsea have been firm favorites to complete the signing of Kai Havertz as Frank Lampard has identified the player as the key target to improve his team ahead of next season. Kai Havertz has been regarded as one of the best attacking talents to have emerged from Germany and his arrival will be huge statement signing for the the London giants.
According to reports, Chelsea and Bayern Leverkusen are close to agreeing a massive £80million deal to ensure the completion of the signing. Kai Havertz has been in talks with Frank Lampard and the German playmaker is only interested in joining Chelsea this summer.
Kai Havertz is also keen to link up with Timo Werner and Toni Rudiger at Stamford Bridge and the German attacker has informed Leverkusen of his intentions to sign for Chelsea. According to reports, the German international has agreed a Five-years contract with Chelsea and will sign a deal until 2025 once the transfer is made official.
However, Chelsea will have to pay the £80-million fee to complete the signing of Kai Havertz in the few days as the deal is in an advanced position. Chelsea are also looking to use Antoni Rudiger’s friendship as a tool to bring the German sensation to Stamford Bridge this month.
Antoni Rudiger was instrumental in Chelsea’s signing of Timo Werner as the German striker revealed the Chelsea defender helped convince him to sign for the Blues. Chelsea transfer chiefs are again looking to use Rudiger’s connection with Havertz to ensure the Blues beat the rest club chasing the talented German.
Chelsea have agreed personal terms with Havertz and the Blues could confirm the signing of the player in the coming days.
