Chelsea reportedly use Lukaku for Haaland call, Dest's transfer receive greenlight

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel will be keen to bolster his squad during the January transfer window and here’s a round-up of the latest rumours.

Chelsea are in need of business if they are to reignite their assault for the Premier League title and it could be a busy month at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues were disappointing in the past month but bounced back to winning ways with a first-leg victory over Tottenham in the Carabao Cup, the first of three back-to-back matches outside of the Premier League for the club.

While there is an eye for immediate recruits, the reports floating around also suggest that Tuchel has half a mind already cast towards the summer window.

That could see Chelsea reignite their interest to sign Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund in the summer, with Sky Deutschland suggesting the second half of Romelu Lukaku’s season will be decisive as to what call Marina Granovskaia makes.

Chelsea are still coping with the fallout of Lukaku’s ill-timed comments last month, though he made his return to the starting line-up against Spurs.

However, if any issues are not resolved by the end of the campaign it could see Chelsea going toe-to-toe with the likes of Manchester City and Real Madrid for Haaland.

Elsewhere, Sergino Dest is a name that is being linked with a move to Chelsea in the January transfer window as Sport says the Blues are going ‘all out’ to secure a deal.

Writers and presenters who share your passion for the Blues will be producing written, visual and audio content to reflect the mood in the stands as well as the press box.

The American’s opportunities have decreased since Dani Alves’ return to the club and a host of clubs have expressed an interest, with Chelsea alongside Atletico Madrid and Bayern Munich in the hunt.

Sticking in Spain, 90Min reports that Chelsea remain interested in a deal for Sevilla defender Jules Kounde ahead of the summer transfer window.

The Blues saw a move for Kounde fail last year, with Sevilla increasing their demands and Kounde remaining in Seville despite his desire for a move.
