The West London club have shown desire to add more trophies to the cabinet this season and did complete the signings of Romelu Lukaku and Marcus Bettinelli to improve the squad available to manager Thomas Tuchel.
That has quite worked out as expected so far, as the Blues are currently on top of the Premier League table after winning their last match against Southampton before the ongoing international break.
That said, the Blues could now be happy with reports that experienced central defender Andreas Christensen has agreed to extend his contract with the club beyond the end of the ongoing 2021/2022 season.

Andreas Christensen has also started the 2021/2022 season on a bright note, making eight appearances and helping the Stamford Bridge side to first position on the Premier League table.
The central defender has less than than a year left on his current squad, but according to reports from Daily Mail, he has now reached an agreement with Chelsea to extend his stay at the club beyond this season.
