Chelsea Carabao Cup opponent confirm

Chelsea secured quarter finals spot after defeating Southampton 4-3 on penalty to advance, as their quarter-final opponent confirmed.
After the last round of the EFL/Carabao Cup was played across all venues in the last mid-week which saw eight teams remaining in the competition with so many surprises, like West Ham United ending Manchester City’s four years dominance among others.
After the last round was completed, there are eight teams left in the competition as it got to the quarter finals stage with the fixture been made yesterday, which will enable four teams to progress to the semi-finals.
The quarter finals ties as scheduled will be played during the week commencing 20 December 2021 across all venues.
Chelsea in the competition will be playing away from home to Frank Onyeka’s Brentford at the Brentford Community Stadium, with Liverpool looking forward to host Super Eagles duo of Wilfred Ndidi and Kelechi Ịheanachọ’s Leicester City team at the Anfield Stadium.
In another pairing, Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal team will be welcoming League One side Sunderland at the Emirates Stadium while David Moyes led West Ham United team will play away from home to Tottenham Hotspur at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The fixtures are seen as follow:
Brentford vs Chelsea
Liverpool vs Leicester City
Arsenal vs Sunderland
Tottenham Hotspur vs West Ham United.
With the stage set for the quarter finals, will Arsenal have the upper edge against the only League One side left in the competition to progress to the last four having already been tipped as the favourite to win the Cup?
