Chelsea 2-0 Wolves: Watch full highlights Chelsea and Wolves of Premier League football

The final day of the English Premier League football ended as Chelsea beat Wolves 2-0 to finished 4th in the league table here is the live commentary and match highlights.

90min: Chelsea 2-0 Wolves

89min: Chelsea win a corner, which James takes, finding Abraham. But he can’t quite direct his header on target.

88min: Barkley on for Jorginho as Lampard uses all five of his subs. Neither team really seem to be trying anymore.

85min: Jordao making his Premier League debut for Wolves. Pedro (on for Mount) making his Premier League farewell. RLC also on, for Kovačić.

83min: Dendoncker latest into the book, for taking out Abraham.

79min: Wolves turn the ball over in the center circle and Mount & Abraham are in. Mount ignores Tammt’s run and goes for goal from 25, keeping it low but wide.

78min: Abraham & Hudson-Odoi on for Giroud & Pulisic

77min: Azpi’s beaten by Jota at midfield so he pulls him down. Referee gives a foul, but no card, much to Wolves’ displeasure. The free kick is flighted in nicely but Boly can’t get power behind his header, with the defense in close attention. Caballero collects. Chelsea turn quickly into attack, with Pulisic combining well on the left and getting a first-time shot off, but not quite on target.

75min: Pulisic is found deep on the right. He drops a shoulder on Coady, who chops him down, just outside the penalty area, wide right. James and Alonso combine for a routine, but the latter’s shot is deflected over for a corner. Mount’s corner is cleared at the near post.

73min: Caballero collects a low cross from Jota as Wolves start to threaten.

72min: Great bit of passing through midfield gives Wolves a half-chance to break through the lines, but the Chelsea defense recovers at the last.

70min: Alonso makes a move on Adama, and almost pulls it off, but runs out of room to put in a cross and has to turn back.

69min: Adama runs into Rüdiger, who stands his ground and wins the ball. But Kovačić is down with what looks a leg knock. Hopefully he’s alright.

68min: Drink break! Meanwhile, United have a penalty against Leicester.

66min: Adama gets on the ball and goes for a run down the right, but Alonso and Kovačić marshal him well and he runs it out of bounds.

65min: Pulisic and Alonso keeping the ball well down by the corner flag; Chelsea then win back possession from Wolves’ throw as well. Looking comfortable at the moment, dare I say…

63min: Alonso, then Mount winning free kicks in the middle to keep Chelsea in control

61min: Long ball looking for Jimenez, but Zouma’s there in close attention to shepherd the play wide and win the ball.

59min: Wolves make a triple change, Moutinho, Vinagre, and Podence on; Neves, Otto, Doherty off.

57min: Azpi dives in on Jota, who’s around him and bearing down on goal. Chelsea close in and Jota goes for a powerful shot, which is well held by Caballero.

56min: Great through ball from Pulisic finds Mount, but he’s run wide by a defender and can’t find a cross. He plays back to James who recycles possession, to maintain control.

54min: Jorginho’s typical ball over the top finds a target in Mount this time, wide left in the penalty area. He pulls it back for Pulisic, who takes a touch instead of a first-time shot and Wolves can clear.

52min: Rüdiger dives in on Adama but doesn’t win the ball and Doherty has space on the right to attack. But Chelsea recover well as Alonso holds him up and win the ball back.

51min: Adama powers through 4-5 Chelsea players in the middle before playing wide to Jimenez. His low cross is pounced safely upon by Caballero.

49min: Great bit of passing on the right leads to a James cross towards Giroud, but Wolves head clear. Chelsea in control.

47min: Giroud hacked down by Neves, giving Chelsea a free kick in a good crossing position on the right. James and Azpilicueta overplay it however, and Wolves have the ball back.

SECOND HALF: The dangerous Adama on for Neto for Wolves.

HALF-TIME: Chelsea lead 2-0 after what was a largely boring and poor quality half. Perfect!

45+6min: Jimenez puts an elbow into Rudiger’s chest; he takes a tumble which leads to a VAR check for violent play. No further action taken however, and rightly so.

45+4min: GOALLLLL!!!! GIROUDDDDDD!!! From the free kick, Chelsea counter with the front three. Strong work from Mount and Pulisic gets Giroud into the area, but he can’t quite chip it past the goalkeeper. The chance looks gone, but Giroud keeps grafting and somehow puts it into the back of the net with a sliding, contorting effort! 2-0, CHELSEA!!!

45+3min: Giroud gets a harsh yellow for a random foul and flailing arm.

45+1min: GOALLLLLL!!! MASON MOUNTTTT!! Wolves can’t quite clear the corner still, and Alonso wins a foul just outside the D. Wolves unhappy with that decision and Neto goes into the book for complaining. Alonso and Mount stand over it and it’s the latter who takes and it’s perfect. 1-0, CHELSEA!!

45min: Long ball from Rüdiger finds James, who holds off his marker and puts in a cross. Boly clears for a corner ahead of an arriving Pulisic at the far post. Mount takes, but Chelsea can’t fashion an effort from it.

44min: Neto takes the corner, Zouma heads clear but only to the top of the box, where Ruben Neves takes aim. Fortunately, his powerful effort is well high and still rising.

43min: A random Neto cross from the left almost catches Caballero out, but he’s able to palm it out from underneath his crossbar. Chelsea put it out for a corner.

39min: Better work from Chelsea on the right, eventually resulting in a cross from Mount. Giroud’s open, but the ball’s just a bit behind him, and he can’t direct his header on target. Decent chance and the closest we’ve come to a goal so far.

38min: Pulisic is found by Jorginho in space in the center, which he takes. Plays wide to Alonso, who goes for a low shot from just outside the area, blocked.

35min: Mount and Giroud can’t quite link and Wolves can turn to attack. Rüdiger back to defend and win the ball. Pulisic’s then quickly crowded out, as Chelsea continue to find no joy or space whatsoever.

34min: Jimenez back on as Chelsea restart play with an offside on Giroud.

31min: Zouma and Jimenez both down after colliding in an aerial challenge. Zouma steamed in to clear, with Jimenez staying compact and bearing the brunt of the impact with his head/neck. Zouma’s up quickly, but Raul’s needing more attention for concussion protocol.

30min: A wayward long ball from Zouma towards Giroud is about the best Chelsea can muster at the moment.

27min: Giroud knocks a ball down and plays wide to Alonso, who has space to run into. He switches to James on the right, but the bounce betrays the young man and Wolves have a throw.

24min: A whipped cross from James is headed clear. Chelsea recycle the ball with strong work from Alonso, but Rudiger’s cross from deep is too deep to be useful. Drink break!

22min: Jota first into the book for a late foul on Azpilicueta.

21min: Chelsea not finding much joy against Wolves so far, even if we do break past the midfield. Pulisic’s latest effort is a blind ball to no one and Wolves can counter. Chelsea recover well.

19min: Rüdiger goes long towards Mount, but Wolves deal with it, just. Meanwhile Spurs have taken the lead against Crystal Palace, which means Wolves are down to 7th as things stand.

17min: Wolves win a corner through Neto. He takes, inswinging with his left foot, Giroud heads clear, but Wolves maintain possession, switching back to Neto. But his cross this time is straight out of bounds.

14min: A Jimenez blast is blocked by Zouma, and James then clears for a throw. Wolves maintain possession.

12min: Pulisic’s latest forays results in a foul, which took the referee a while to call, but eventually is given. Mount to take, inswinging. Reece gets a glancing head to it, but can’t quite guide it inside the far post.

10min: A couple Pulisic forays are thwarted, while at the other end, Alonso gives away a foul that leads to an indirect free kick, which Chelsea deal with.

5min: Alonso’s fouled by Doherty but no call, instead Wolves are in behind. Doherty sits Rüdiger down, but Zouma’s there to block for a corner. Chelsea clear and almost manage to counter, even.

4min: Long ball from Coady to Doherty leads to a first-time cross, which Zouma clears. Referee gives a talking to Jorginho for an earlier foul, but does not show a card.

3min: Not much quality so far, especially in the final third from either side. Wolves happy to let Chelsea pass it about.

KICK-OFF: Gorgeous sunshine at the Bridge as the teams take the knee and Wolves get us underway.

It all comes down to this final match. After 37 games, it’s the next 90 minutes that decide Chelsea’s Champions League fate.

If Manchester United beat Leicester City, happening concurrently at the King Power, then this game is immaterial. If they don’t, then this game is the only one that matters.

Which Chelsea will show up? The high-scoring one, low-scoring one, the bad defending one … or the bad defending one? Brace yourselves for drama.

Looks like the 3-4-3’s staying for a third game, as Kepa and Willian are dropped. UPDATE: Willian’s got a small injury, as per his Instagram.
