The 2022-23 UEFA Champions League group stage draw will take place on Thursday, August 25, in Istanbul, Turkey.
How will the draw be determined?
The draw will feature 32 teams, 26 teams offered direct entry to the group stage, and the 6 conquerors of the play-off ties.
The teams will be divided into four seeding pots. Pot 1 will contain the holders, the UEFA Europa League winners, and the champions of the six highest-ranked countries who did not qualify via one of the 2021/22 titles; Pots 2 to 4 will be specified by the club coefficient rankings.
In the case of federations with two representatives, clubs will be paired to split their games between Tuesdays and Wednesdays. In the outbreak of associations with four representatives, two pairings will be created. These pairings are to be established on TV audiences.
