Global News Nigeria learnt that that Gabonese star has missed two matches in the ongoing AFCON 2021 tournament due to covid-19 but he was reported to have back to training but was absent against Black Stars of Ghana.
Due to his health issue Gabon have released Aubameyang to Arsenal for proper medical examination after he was diagnosed with heart lesions.
Aubameyang has missed out of the Africa Cup of Nations 2021 in Cameroon over his health condition as he reportedly joined Arsenal for proper medical care.
Gabon will play their last group match against Morocco to secure their place in the AFCON knockout stage.
