Arsenal are set to make another transfer bid for Borussia Dortmund star, 24, Julian Brandt after completed Martin Odegaard loan deal from Real Madrid
The 24-year-old German international has make Bundesliga 17 appearances scoring a goal with an assist. Mikel Arteta make fresh bid for Brandt to strengthen his attacking option this season. Brandt had an impressive debut campaign at Dortmund last term – after a high-profile €25million (£22m) transfer from Bayer Leverkusen – but has dropped down the pecking order and the Gunners are ready to test the Bundesliga club’s resolve.
Arsenal head coach Arteta confirmed he was working with the club over potential new arrivals.
‘A lot of things that should have happened in the summer we could not accomplish them for different reasons,’ the Spaniard told the media.
‘There are a lot of players that are going to go on loan. They are going to leave.
‘That’s the priority at the moment because we cannot sustain the numbers that we have in certain positions. We are looking to do that.
‘And then we will see if we have the right opportunities in the positions that we need some more help we are working with the club to try to address them.’
