Chelsea have finalised an agreement to make their first new signing of this current January transfer window and are set to complete the deal.
We have seen Chelsea linked with many different new players in the last few weeks, and we have seen a lot of links with potential new defenders coming in as well.
All the talk about Chelsea going in for Marc Guehi has died off a little bit after they made the decision to recall Trevoh Chalobah from his loan spell at the same club as Guehi, Crystal Palace.
But Chelsea are still being linked with new centre backs, and it looks like they are set to sign one as well now.
Although this one is not the marquee name that Guehi might be, being a full England international. And once again, it is a relatively unknown teenager who Chelsea are apparently about to sign – not what they should be prioritising.
Mamadou Sarr signing for Strasbourg
Mamadou Sarr of Strasbourg looks like a really good up and coming defender for the future, and that is who Chelsea are apparently now close to signing.
‘Chelsea is set to sign talent Mamadou Sarr from Strasbourg. Agreement between the player and Chelsea for a long term contract. Negotiation ongoing between the clubs – both own by BlueCo – transfer fee around 20M€. Strasbourg will keep the defender on loan.’
So basically we are signing another talented youngster from our sister club and he is staying there on loan until the summer.
Someone tell this lot that they should be more balanced with their recruiting and to stop ignoring proven and established experience and leaders. Jesus Christ man.
