Chukwueze scores brace, Tella scores in Bayer win, Ndidi wins against West Ham

Leicester City secured their first victory since October, marking Ruud van Nistelrooy’s managerial debut with an impressive 3-1 triumph over West Ham United on Tuesday night, Soccernet.ng reports.

The Foxes’ win lifts them to 15th in the Premier League, offering a promising start to a demanding December.

Midfield maestro Wilfred Ndidi was instrumental in Leicester’s success.

The Nigerian international delivered a commanding performance, winning 15 of his 19 duels, recording a game-high nine tackles, and completing 11 clearances and two interceptions.

Ndidi was more than just a defensive shield; his versatility shone through as he executed two dribbles, maintained an 83% passing accuracy, and came close to scoring, missing a big chance to add to the tally.

In Italy, Samuel Chukwueze stole the show with a brilliant brace in AC Milan’s emphatic 6-1 demolition of Sassuolo.

The Nigerian winger opened the scoring in the 12th minute, calmly slotting home a rebound after his initial shot had hit the post.

Nine minutes later, he doubled his tally with a precise finish into the bottom left corner, set up by Tammy Abraham.

Additional goals from Tijjani Reijnders, Rafael Leão, Tammy Abraham, and Davide Calabria ensured Milan’s dominant display.

Chukwueze’s performance was particularly significant, as it marked his first brace for Milan in his 50th appearance for the Rossoneri.

Meanwhile, Nathan Tella’s solitary second-half strike earned Bayer Leverkusen a 1-0 victory over 10-man Bayern Munich in the DFB-Pokal.

The Super Eagles forward headed in Alejandro Grimaldo’s cross in the 69th minute, capitalising on Bayern’s numerical disadvantage following Manuel Neuer’s red card.

Tella’s strike was his first goal of the season and it was enough to see Bayer Leverkusen advance to the quarterfinals of the DFB-Pokal.
