Chief of army staff, Lagbaja reacts to soldiers attacking Gov. Sanwo-Olu on social media

A few weeks back, the governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, while embarking on an official duty, told his security personnel to arrest an individual who was passing one way. After the arrest, the individual happened to be a soldier and what followed suit online was the governor receiving clap backs online from numerous soldiers.

Finally reacting to the attack on the governor, the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Taoreed Abiodun Lagbaja, while speaking at an event, condemned the attack as he said: "The solider that was apprehended by the Governor of Lagos State on one way, does not represent the Nigerian Army as it contravenes what we stand for and the laws of Lagos and so, we frown at that as the Army. For alleged soldiers going to social media, it was only one soldier that did that, the Army has investigated and the solider has been apprehended".

The COAF went on to say any other comic acts on the social media are not personnel of the Army, as from the mode of their dressing, one would know, and they were talking from the angle of politics, not the Army.
