Transfer News: Chelsea register interest in signing new goalkeeper who is available for €70million

Ahead of the forthcoming January transfer window, Chelsea football club will most definitely remain keen on further strengthening their current squad under manager Mauricio Pochettino.

 

 

 

The Premier League giants were hugely active during the summer transfer window as they completed the signings of Nicolas Jackson, Axel Disasi, Moises Caicedo, Romeo Lavia and Lesley Ugochukwu.

Despite these additions, Chelses football club have struggled in the Premier League this season and are currently occupying the 10th position on the Premier League table.

 

As a result of these, Chelsea want to improve their squad and have been linked with a move for experienced AC Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan when the transfer window opens.

 

The 28-year-old France International, who has been with Italian side AC Milan since he departed Lille back in 2021 has been an important member of the first-team squad so far.

The experienced shot-stopper was hugely involved for Serie A giants AC Milan during the 2022/2023 football season where he made 29 appearances in all competitions.

Mike Maignan has also continued in his impressive form for AC Milan so far this ongoing 2023/2024 season and he has recorded one asisst in 16 appearances in all competitions.

His excellent performances for AC Milan has caught the attention of Chelsea football club and according to reports from Transfer News Live, the Blues are keen on signing him.

 
 

The reports further claimed that Chelsea football club are really interested in Mike Maignan and are making moves to sign the goalkeeper who is said to be available for €70million.

It is believed that Chelsea football club want to improve their goalkeeping options and manager Mauricio Pochettino has identified Mike Maignan as a needed addition to his squad.

But then, it remains to be seen if the Premier League side will be interested in paying the demanded €70million to lure Mike Maignan away from AC Milan when the transfer window opens.
