Chelsea to make offer for attacking midfielder in January

 Ahead of the forthcoming January transfer window, Chelsea football club will most definitely remain keen on further strengthening their attacking options under the management of Mauricio Pochettino.

Do remember that the West London club were very much active during the summer transfer window as they completed the signings of Cole Palmer, Moises Caicedo, Romeo Lavia and Nicolas Jackson.

But then, Chelsea football club have struggled for form since the start of this season and are now on the lookout for more reinforcements when the January transfer window opens.

And if reports are anything to go by, then Chelsea football club have been linked with a move for highly-rated River Plate attacking midfielder Claudio Echeverri next year.

 

The 17-year-old Argentina International, who gained promotion to the River Plate first-team squad earlier this year has been an important member of the team so far.

The highly-rated attacking midfielder was quite involved for Argentine side River Plate during the season where he recorded one assist in five appearances in all competitions.

Claudio Echeverri made the Argentine squad to the FIFA U-17 World Cup where he was also impressive as he scored a hattrick in one of their matches during the World Cup competition.

His excellent performances in attack is believed to have caught the attention of Chelsea football club and according to reports from popular transfer expert Fabrizio Romano via his verified Twitter page, the Blues are keen on signing him.

 

The reports further claimed that Chelsea football club are really interested in Claudio Echeverri and have now made contacts with the young midfielder ahead of the January transfer window.

It is believed that Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino wants to add more quality to his attacking options and he has identified the young Claudio Echeverri as a needed addition to his squad.

But with Claudio Echeverri currently valued at €25million, it remains to be seen if Chelsea football club will be able to pay the needed transfer fee to lure him away from River Plate when the transfer window opens.
