Santiago Gimenez’s camp will not push for him to join Chelsea or Real Madrid in January.
According to FootballTransfers, both Chelsea and Real Madrid are pushing to sign Santiago Gimenez.
However, the same outlet claims that the player’s entourage will not demand for him to be transferred from Feyenoord to another club in the winter transfer window.
There really could be a chance for him to get a big move in January, as the 22-year-old has been fantastic this season.
In 13 Eredivisie appearances, he has scored 16 goals. Last term, he scored 15 in 32, so Gimenez really is becoming a prolific striker.
Should Chelsea go all out for Santiago Gimenez in January?
Even if Gimenez is starting to look like an efficient No.9, it does not mean Chelsea should chuck everything at signing him when the transfer window reopens.
His goals are coming in the Eredivisie, which is not exactly the strongest division. Will his form translate over to the Premier League? It is the kind of question Chelsea have to ask themselves.

Nevertheless, what he is doing cannot be overlooked. If the Blues cannot land any of their main striker targets, then yes, it is worth considering Gimenez if he is still available.
Napoli’s Victor Osimhen is high on Chelsea’s list and he would obviously be a safer bet coming from Serie A, a stronger division compared to its Dutch counterpart.
Last season, the Nigerian found the back of the net 26 times in 32 appearances in the Italian league.
There is no guarantee that Osimhen could transfer that kind of form to Stamford Bridge either, but fans will be more confident about a No.9 coming from Serie A than the Eredivisie.
At the end of the day, this Chelsea squad could do with a new centre-forward and it will be interesting to see which player Pochettino ends up with.
