CHE 2-2 ARS: 2 players responsible for Chelsea draw against Arsenal

The Blues were cruising at Stamford Bridge with a two goal lead over Arsenal but a calamitous error from Robert Sanchez allowed Mikel Arteta's men to fight their way back into the game.

Eyebrows were raised when Chelsea splashed £20m to sign the Spain international from Brighton this summer and that decision is now being questioned after the Blues failure to beat Arsenal on Saturday.

Cole Palmer dispatched a first-half penalty to give Chelsea a commanding halftime lead after the opening 45 minutes before Mykhalio Mudryk scored his first goal at Stamford Bridge to double Chelsea's advantage.

Chelsea's defence had won every aerial duel against Arteta's men before Sanchez carelessly misplaced a pass that located Declan Rice and the Englishman fired the ball into the back before Leandro Trossard drew Arsenal level at the 84th minute.

Now, with all that in mind and no further delays, let's quickly take a look at the main central message of this article.

Below are the two players to blame for Chelsea's failure to win the London derby against Arsenal.

1. Robert Sanchez

The Spainard lost concentration and gifted Arsenal a way back into the game with his misplaced pass.

2. Moises Caceido

Caceido had space and time to intercept Declan Rice's effort on goal but the Ecuadorian was reluctant to do so.
